In the mathematics course, career path education is restructured and implemented in unison with the engineering course to nurture new leaders who can make a broad contribution as business people in science and engineering as well as in fields other than science and engineering.
Degree Awarding Policy
Under the common policy for the Master’s Course in Science and Engineering described in 2-2, the following specific learning outcomes are defined for (1).
The policy for the awarding of degrees is based on the following specific learning outcomes.
(1) The academic field of specialization is the area of mathematics, and students must have studied mathematics in specialized courses at universities, etc., and must also have an understanding of problems in more advanced fields of mathematics.
(i) The academic field of specialization is the area of mathematics, and students are expected to acquire the ability to understand problems in various fields of mathematics, to master the logic for solving those problems, and to accurately understand and solve the various problems they face.
The student should acquire the ability to accurately understand and solve problems faced by the student.
Curriculum Development and Implementation Policy
In order to realize the policy for conferring degrees, the curriculum is organized and implemented under the common organization and system for the Master’s Course in Science and Engineering described in 2-3 and the following policies.
1. organization of educational curriculum
In addition to the basic courses in algebra, geometry, and analysis, which are required as elective subjects, lectures to deepen students’ understanding of various fields of mathematics are also required as elective subjects in the “Specialized Subjects” section.
2. Educational System
The system is the same as that of the Master’s Course in Science and Engineering.
3. Methods of education and guidance
The combination of extensive knowledge education in mathematical science through lectures and small-group education in specialized fields through seminars will enhance the learning effect.
4. Evaluation of Grades
Grades are graded according to the common method of the Master’s Course in Science and Engineering.
